These are my personal Top 10 Best Albums of the Year.  The rankings of these records only reflect my personal enjoyment of each album.

10. Rochelle Jordan - Through the Wall

One of the best R&B albums I’ve heard this year. You should have at least 2 or 3 of her tracks in your DJ setlist if you want a quality mix.

9. Boldy James & Nicholas Craven – Criminally Attached

This album is perfect whip music. Play this in the car to maximize enjoyment.

8. Hayley Williams — Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party

This album is fun. It’s a very green flag album. Hopefully, it will win every Grammy that it has been nominated for.

7. Jim Legxacy – black british music (2025)

This is one of the best albums out of the UK this year. stick is a great single as well. It’s dynamic and a very enjoyable listen from start to finish.

6. FKA twigs — EUSEXUA

This album is hot.

5. Playboi Carti — MUSIC

I’m shocked this album isn’t nominated for a Grammy. Thinking about it now, it was probably because it was never submitted for a Grammy. Carti just dropped the album real quick and kept it moving. I’m sure he’s already forgotten that it has existed.

4. KeyiaA - hooke’s law

This album is warm and alluring like a brand new bottle of Jamaican Castor Oil. The production is

3. Bad Bunny — DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS

This album contains some of the best beats I’ve heard this year. The band samples looped into the bangers blend so naturally. Get ready for a very insane Super Bowl performance next year. Puerto Rico should be proud.

2. tdf — CULTURE

This album completely clicks with me, but I also know it is not for everyone. These folks present a bright future for hip hop. All of the vocal snippets and video game adlibs on the beats are so fun to hear. If you’re into rage, plugg and underground internet rap, then you’re going to love this album along with every collaborator’s catalog. It’s colorful, forward thinking, and extremely creative.

1. Clipse — Let God Sort Em Out

I have waited 16 years for this album to come out and it has completely paid off without skipping a single beat. These are some of Pharrell’s best beats to date. Malice is in rare form on this record. Pusha T’s best songwriting is on this record. It is easily the best rap album of the 2020s so far. I am so glad that they are back.
